About Us

Our vision is to achieve the highest form of success in every sport on which we focus – hockey first.

We started the Sports Analytics Institute in 2008.  At that time, our goal was to gain a better understanding of hockey.  Our approach was to leverage techniques from data mining, statistics and economics to model the underlying process of the game.

We were successful in gaining a better understanding of hockey using our approach, but this was just the beginning.  We continue to broaden and deepen our understanding of the game, now by working directly with professional hockey organizations where we apply our research.

Kevin, Mike, and Ron have more than 25 years of university education in mathematics, computer science, business, and economics applied in a number of industries including sports, gaming, retail and consulting.
